Andrew Small Band

Former Massive Attack drummer Andrew Small has built an enviable reputation as a highly regarded drummer, musical director and producer.

An extensive career has seen Andrew work with a diverse set of high-profile artists, including a five-year stint as Kylie Minogue’s Musical Director. He also spent 10 years touring with the aforementioned Massive Attack, along with an extended period as MD for the classical crossover group Il Divo.

His wealth of experience has also resulted in Andrew touring with high-profile acts such as Courtney Pine, Moloko, Des’ree, Steve Cole, Gerald Albright, Chuck Loeb, and Swing Out Sister.

Such a wide palette of styles has helped contribute to Andrew's creative output, not just as a musician, but also as a producer and songwriter.

Andrew’s music has an eclectic feel, inspired by Afro-Cuban, Gospel, Neo Soul, Funk, Groove and other influences, with the resulting sonic melting pot having instant appeal.

The concert will focus mainly on tracks from Andrew's debut album, What Happens Now? - described by Jazz Journal as ". . . superbly played, dynamically arranged, fully engaging jazz funk compositions.” - and the follow-up, Monday Roast.

Accompanied by a stellar band of the UK's top session musicians,
