Gabrielle Ducomble Band

Now a firm favourite in her adopted UK, Belgian-born vocalist, Gabrielle Ducomble, who wowed the jazz club audience on her last visit two years ago, returns to promote her latest release, Across The Bridge.

Blending suave tones with natural charm and sophistication, Gabrielle presents a programme of French chansons, Brazilian choros, modern jazz and tango. Originals from her new self-penned album are interspersed with unique re-workings of tunes by Piaf, Brel, Piazolla and other classics, taking the listener on a mesmerising journey of discovery and delight.

Accompanied by her superb band, comprising Nicolas Meier (Guitar), Richard Jones (Violin) and Nick Kacal (Double Bass), this lady is a charismatic, sophisticated and utterly charming performer who sings her heart out, leaving audiences spellbound by the end of the evening.

“Her voice is exquisitely groomed,

sumptuously powerful and buttery. . . ”-

"Ducomble’s voice is a delight; an accurate instrument on the scat sections like the gently swaying Ride, warm and intimate on ballads like Forest Boy, pure and clear throughout."
